Product Development Lead

Job Overview

CoTrain is seeking an experienced Product Development Lead for a commerce client with a high growth trajectory and an established enterprise operations team.

The Product Development Lead will be responsible for leading the end to end development of new products from concept and research through production and launch. This role focuses on identifying market opportunities coordinating cross functional teams and ensuring successful product execution that aligns with customer demand and business objectives.

• Lead the development of new products from concept through launch

• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify product opportunities

• Collaborate with sourcing manufacturing marketing and operations teams

• Manage product timelines milestones and launch schedules

• Oversee product testing iteration and quality control processes

• Coordinate packaging positioning and go to market planning

• Analyze customer feedback and performance data to guide product improvements

• Maintain structured documentation and development processes

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional product development experience

• Proven track record bringing consumer products from concept to market

• Strong project management and cross functional collaboration skills

• Experience working with suppliers manufacturers and production timelines

• Ability to manage multiple product initiatives simultaneously

Preferred Not Required

• Experience in ecommerce consumer packaged goods or direct to consumer brands

• Familiarity with sourcing supply chain coordination and manufacturing workflows

• Experience working with product testing and quality assurance processes

Compensation

Estimated Hourly Rate: $80–$180 per hour

Estimated Annual Equivalent: $165000–$375000+ per year based on full time contract workload

Final compensation and project terms are confirmed prior to engagement.
