The Role

CoTrain is onboarding experienced Accountants to join our private expert marketplace and support high-growth companies, enterprise teams, and funded businesses with critical financial operations.

This is not a traditional job listing.

What We’re Looking For

You are a strong fit if you have:

4+ years of professional accounting or finance experience
Experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, advisory, or high-growth environments
Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting
Ability to manage reconciliations, close processes, and operational accounting workflows
High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong communication skills with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
Upper-intermediate English or higher

Nice to Have

CPA, CMA, or equivalent credential
Experience supporting venture-backed or multi-entity businesses
Familiarity with tax readiness, audit support, or compliance workflows
Experience with accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar

Responsibilities

As an Accountant on CoTrain, you may work on projects such as:

Managing month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Preparing financial statements and management reporting
Supporting tax preparation, audit requests, and compliance documentation
Improving accounting workflows, controls, and financial processes
Collaborating with operators, founders, and finance teams at client companies
Maintaining accurate documentation and high-quality financial standards
