The Role

CoTrain is onboarding experienced AI Engineers to join our private expert marketplace and work directly with high-growth companies, enterprise teams, and well-funded startups building AI-powered products at the frontier.

What We’re Looking For

You are a strong fit if you have:

4+ years of professional engineering experience, with significant focus in AI/ML
Strong proficiency in Python and modern AI development frameworks
Experience building and shipping AI-powered applications in production
Familiarity with LLM workflows, evaluation, and real-world deployment constraints
Strong understanding of data pipelines, model performance, and system scalability
Ability to work independently and deliver with minimal supervision
Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Upper-intermediate English or higher

Nice to Have

Experience with LLM frameworks
Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, and semantic search
Fine-tuning, model optimization, or training workflows
MLOps experience (deployment, monitoring, model lifecycle management)
Cloud infrastructure familiarity (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience building AI agents, automation systems, or multimodal applications

Responsibilities

As an AI Engineer on CoTrain, you may work on projects such as:

Building AI-enabled products using LLMs and modern ML techniques
Designing and deploying scalable AI services and APIs
Developing retrieval systems, agent workflows, and evaluation pipelines
Improving model performance, latency, cost efficiency, and reliability
Collaborating with product and engineering teams to ship AI features end-to-end
Supporting secure deployment, monitoring, and ongoing iteration of AI systems
Documenting technical decisions and maintaining high engineering standards
