Job Overview
CoTrain is seeking experienced Video Editors and Motion Designers for contract-based client engagements with high-growth brands and enterprise creative teams.
Editors in this role will produce performance-driven content across paid social, product storytelling, short-form video, and modern digital campaigns.
Engagements vary depending on client creative volume, campaign timelines, and project scope.
Responsibilities
Edit high-performing short-form and long-form video content for digital platforms
Produce performance ad creatives for Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram
Create motion graphics, transitions, and visual effects to enhance engagement
Collaborate with creative strategists and marketers to execute campaign direction
Iterate quickly based on performance feedback and creative testing results
Maintain strong pacing, hooks, and retention-focused editing standards
Organize project files and deliver polished assets on schedule
Qualifications
3+ years of professional video editing or motion design experience
Strong portfolio of performance creative, brand content, or digital campaigns
Proficiency with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut, or similar tools
Ability to work quickly while maintaining high production quality
Strong creative instincts around storytelling and attention dynamics
Preferred (not required):
Experience editing direct-response ecommerce ads
Familiarity with UGC-style creative workflows
Knowledge of sound design, color grading, or advanced motion systems
Compensation
Estimated Hourly Rate: $60–$140 per hour
Estimated Annual Equivalent: $125,000–$290,000+ per year (full-time contract workload)
Final rate and project terms are confirmed prior to project start
